How Can I Get Involved?

How Can I Get Involved?

Adoration

Sign up for a scheduled  hour of prayer each week and spend the best hour of your week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. You can also stop by anytime and take a prayer card for someone with cancer who is requesting prayer and pray for them any time of the day or night. This is the most flexible and convenient outreach ministry you can find, meets your schedule. For more information, please contact Dick Jacobson at richardjacobson@yahoo.com.

Prayer Request

The prayer requests have grown to over 500 per year. We have served 47 of the 50 states and 12 countries outside of the USA. If you would like to help deliver notes of prayer, hope and encouragement, please contact Anthanette Donaldson at adonaldson@ctk-catholic.org or (480) 844-4478

Prayer Shawl

Prayer shawls are an important part of the ST. Peregrine Cancer Shrine Ministry. The Prayer Shawl Ministry Group meets every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Our volunteers meet weekly to knit, crochet and quilt together. Each shawl is blessed and has a St. Peregrine medal sewn in it as a reminder of the prayers coming their way from the volunteers who lovingly spend their time making beautiful shawls and praying for people they will never meet. The shawls are touched to the St. Peregrine relic and then mailed to those who request them. You can also make prayer shawls at home or on the road. If you have this talent, this is another flexible and convenient outreach opportunity for you to serve. For more information, please contact either Charlotte Volkman at 480-924-2155 or giraffevolkman@cox.net or Susan Hill at 480-892-3688 or azportfolio@aol.com.

Prayer Group

The St. Peregrine Prayer Group gathers at the Shrine on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. for intercession, scripture meditation and saying the rosary. The relic of St. Peregrine is presented for veneration and the prayer team is available for healing prayer at the end of each meeting. If you have been formed in catholic healing prayer, or have the desire to go through formation, this ministry is for you. For more information contact Anthanette Donaldson at 480-844-4478 or adonaldson@ctk-catholic.org.
